Have you ever wanted to play your favorite Steam titles on a VR device, but the game’s not in a VR library? Say hello to GameVRoom, the new PC/VR hybrid title from Really Interactive and Fast Travel Games that do just that. Arriving today on Steam Early Access, players can check out GameVRoom now with a video detailing the features now present and the mechanics that are soon to come. There’s even a launch discount to boot!
Plug into Your Steam Library with GameVRoom
Imagine putting on your VR headset and scrolling through your Steam library to pick out any title to play. No limitations or restrictions, thanks to the introduction of GameVRoom. The new game allows players to tap into virtual environments that they can customize to their liking. Start with laying out the play area to your preference before setting up your couch and comfort for gaming.
Next is where the configurations come in, for the game offers an array of tools for custom gameplay. As detailed in the GameVRoom Early Access Trailer, the developers walk us through just how the features work. Using your VR controllers, emulate, bind, and create a variety of actions, buttons, and poses to bring the gamepad experience to virtual reality. These include virtual buttons that players can apply for different controls.
The footage presents examples through Overcooked! and Metal: Hellsinger, coupled with some multiplayer engagement. It’s all through a flat screen that the gameplay occurs, much like one would experience with a desktop. Keep in mind that it’s all in early access, so changes are bound to be made.
GameVRoom is available now for Steam Early Access for $9.99. To celebrate the game’s release, there’s a 10% discount (approx. $8.99) in effect until December 22, so be sure to grab your copy when you can!
