PlayStation 5 Pro: Everything You Need to Know
Release Date
The rumors of a PS5 Pro began circulating some time ago. A YouTuber (Moore’s Law is Dead) claimed that a console refresh for the PS5 would launch between late 2023 and 2024. Another insider has reportedly come forward to corroborate these claims, stating that the PS5 Pro is actively in the works at Sony with a tentative release window of late 2024.
It should be noted that Sony has yet to confirm the existence of either the PS5 Pro or a version of the PS5 with a detachable disc drive, which was also rumored to arrive by late 2023. However, insiders claim that these are different from one another.
While the specifications of the PS5 Pro are not yet known, the rumors have sparked excitement among gamers eager for a more powerful version of the already-popular console. The PS5 has been in high demand since its release in late 2020, with shortages making it difficult for many consumers to get their hands on one.
Pre-E3 PlayStation Showcase
PlayStation fans have grown antsy for news and updates from Sony, particularly since Microsoft and Nintendo recently shared updates on their upcoming titles. However, journalist Jeff Grubb suggests a more extensive, pre-E3 PlayStation Showcase may be on the docket for the coming months.
