Although last week’s leak gave us a pretty firm idea of what Sony had in store for the start of 2022, the PlayStation Plus January free games line-up was officially confirmed today. PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to playing Persona 5 Strikers, Dirt 5, and Deep Rock Galactic next month.
PlayStation Plus January
Persona 5 Strikers
Released in 2020, Persona 5 Strikers is playable on PS4 as part of the PlayStation Plus January haul. Here’s Sony’s official description:
Jump into the stylish world of Persona in an all-new story featuring the Phantom Thieves as they embark on an epic road trip across Japan. A summer vacation with close friends takes a sudden turn as a distorted reality emerges, thrusting you in an epic tale as you strike back against the corruption overtaking cities. Dynamically control your team during explosive action combat as you reveal the truth and redeem the hearts of those imprisoned at the centre of the crisis.”
PlayStation Plus January – Dirt 5
Dirt 5 heads to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in an amped-up off-road racing experience. 70 routes, 10 locations, heaps of cars and trucks to choose from, all types of terrain, multiplayer, career mode – plenty to test your treads.
Deep Rock Galactic
And, lastly, Deep Rock Galactic rounds of the PlayStation Plus January games and heads to both PS4 and PS5. A 1-4 player co-op first-person shooter starring gun-totting hirsute space Dwarves, Deep Rock Galactic has players navigate a hostile cave system teeming with treasure.
January’s games go live from Tuesday, January 4, and will be available until February 1. Remember to snap up last month’s selection, which includes Godfall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super Villains, and Mortal Shell before next Tuesday if you haven’t already. And, if VR’s your thing, don’t miss The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Standard Edition, and Until You Fall.
