I have to say, what a month we’ve had with PlayStation Plus. Not only has the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s campaign been free to subscribers, we then got one of the best PS+ titles in years with Fall Guys launching as a free game, setting itself on a path to superstardom. You may have noticed that I’ve been writing a lot of Fall Guys news lately, including the news that someone has made a mod for Skyrim starring the Fall Guys as companions. That’s mainly because I love the game (and we at the Nerd Stash do too) but also a lot is going on with the game.
But anyway, it’s nearly time to cross from August to September, and with that comes a new wave of PlayStation Plus games to take center stage in gamers’ recently played lists. Earlier today, Sony (via their PlayStation Blog) revealed the next two games hitting PlayStation Plus in September. Those games in question are Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and Street Fighter V.
While both these games aren’t exactly hot off the presser like Fall Guys was, they are both heavy hitters in the scale of PS+ games. PUBG is one of the most played games in the world, while the fifth installment in the Street Fighter series continues to pull heavy figures at fighting competitions like EVO, no less than what is expected of the legendary fighting game franchise.
This particular version of Street Fighter V on PlayStation Plus seems to be the original version that was released in February 2016. Capcom has released two updated versions since then – the Arcade Edition in January 2018 and Champion Edition in February 2020.
Both Street Fighter V and PUBG will join PlayStation Plus on September 1. For those who haven’t picked up August’s offering of PlayStation Plus goodness – you should get on it ASAP, because Fall Guys is good, and they will be available until August 31.
