With the recent release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players are getting a chance to jump back into the region of Sinnoh and are once again trying to “catch ’em all.” One group of these creatures that you can capture include the iconic Unowns. While many players returning to the region might already know where to find the rare Pokémon, new players and those who might not remember might need a little help encountering these Unowns. Luckily, I am here to help with that. This guide will show the locations where you can encounter Unown in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Where to Encounter Unown in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To encounter an Unown, you are going to want to head over to Solaceon Town and go to the right. You will need to traverse a series of ledges to locate the entrance to the Solaceon Ruins. Here, you will find 26 different rooms inside the cave, each of an Unown, which also pertain to a letter of the alphabet. Walking around these rooms will lead to you quickly encountering the Unown associated with the given room. Catching all 26 Unowns will allow you to enter a new area in the Ruins where you will find the remaining two Unowns, bringing the total to 28 Unowns in the game.

Once you find yourself in the Solaceon Ruins, you are going to want to use the Dusk Ball to help you capture these Unowns. The Dusk Ball helps you at night and in caves, the latter being where you will find the Unowns. With these tips, you should easily be able to both encounter and capture Unowns in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
