Debuted in Pokemon X and Y or Generation VI as the cool kids say it, The Global Wonder Station building allows you and all other Trainers all over the world players to randomly trade with each other through the Wonder Trade feature. In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Global Wonder Station makes a comeback just like in the previous remakes, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but one question remains: can you still Wonder Trade with others in this latest remakes?
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Is The Wonder Trade Still In?
Well, unfortunately, despite the existence of the Global Wonder Station in Jubilife City, there is no option to Wonder Trade in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl — at least for now. However, although the game stated that the Global Wonder Station building is currently not functional, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company might be planning to add a proper Wonder Trade system sometime in the future.
Nintendo has officially stated that “scheduled future updates” will be adding additional features. Including increasing the maximum number of players and adding greeting and Capsule Decoration functions in the Union Room, enabling Link Trades, and Link Battles in Pokémon Centers.
Additionally, future updates will enable Link Trades at the Global Wonder Station (GWS) facility in Jubilife City, as well as Link Battles via the Colosseum function in Pokémon Centers.”
Nonetheless, Nintendo has yet to announce when this update will be added to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
