Buizel is a Water-type Pokemon first introduced in Generation IV in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It evolves into Floatzel and does not require any evolution stones. Buizel has base stats of 330, with its speed stats being the highest out of them all. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to evolve Buizel in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Evolve Buizel in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
If you do not yet have Buizel, you can find it in the wild on several routes. The routes 205, 213, and 224 all have a chance at spawning Buizel, with Route 224 having the rarest encounter chance. Buizel also commonly spawns in Valley Windworks during any time of the day. You may also encounter Buizel in the Grand Underground in Fountainspring Cave, Riverbank Cave and Still-Water Cavern.
Buizel is a Water-type Pokemon that evolves into Floatzel starting at level 26. Floatzel does not evolve into any other Pokemon. Additionally, like many other Pokemon such as Cherubi, Piplup, and Bidoof, you do not need additional items or tasks to evolve Buizel. You also do not need to trade Buizel with other players to evolve it. However, leveling up Buizel to level 26 will require some grinding. You will need to fight with Buizel in wild Pokemon encounters to gain EXP and level up.

Buizel can also hold a Lucky Egg to level up faster. Lucky Eggs add increased EXP after battles, which will help you save time if your Buizel is low level or if you want to evolve it quicker. If you do not have a Lucky Egg, you can find wild Chansey’s, which have a chance of holding either a Lucky Egg or an Oval Stone. You may also search for a Lucky Egg at Acuity Lakefront in the Grand Underground.
