Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl arrived on the Nintendo Switch this past Friday. A remake of the classic Sinnoh games, it comes seven years after the Hoenn remakes. Marketed as faithful remakes, there are a few noticeable differences to keep the game fresh. If this is your first time playing this generation of Pokemon, there are some useful things to know about. One of which is the Amulet Coin, a held item that will get you twice as much money from battles. If you used Repels and Potions a lot, you’ll find this item extremely helpful. Here’s a guide on where and how to find the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Find the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
The Amulet Coin is one of the most essential items for trainers. Like the Quick Claw, it gives you a nice advantage while battling. The coin is most helpful in the early game due to the low amounts of money you’ll be receiving from battles. However, it can be used throughout the game to stock up on cash. That way, dangerous gyms, encounters, and the Elite Four won’t be quite as taxing.
To get Pokemon BDSP’s Amulet Coin, you’ll need to be just past the first quarter of the story. In Hearthome City, you’ll find the new and improved version of Amity Square. The entrance can be found at either the northwest or northeast side of town. Here, you can walk around and play with certain qualified Pokemon outside of their Pokeballs. Don’t worry, you won’t need to go find any special Pokemon to get in. Your starter automatically qualifies! Once you’re in, head to the top right of the area. You’ll see some ruins there that you can walk inside. Feel around the left ruin, and there’s your coin!
