There are nine evolution stones you can collect and use to evolve your Pokemon. One of these stones is the Dawn Stone which you can use to evolve Kirlia into Gallade and Snorunt into Froslass. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to get a Dawn Stone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Get a Dawn Stone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, there are two main locations you can find a Dawn Stone:
- Northernmost area of Route 225
- Whiteout Cave in the Northwestern Section of the Grand Underground
- The southeastern corner of Mt. Coronet Floor 1
The first method requires you to travel to Route 225. At the northernmost part of the area, there is a small platform with a Pokeball that you can travel to. However, you must have the HM Rock Climb to access this area. If you do not already have Rock Climb, you can find it by going to Route 217 after defeating Snowpoint City’s Gym Leader.

The second area involves travelling through Snowpoint City and the Grand Underground until you reach Whiteout Cave. The cave is located in the bottom-right hideaway of the Northwestern zone. You will find the Pokeball containing the Dawn Stone sitting on the ground.
The last location is in Mt. Coronet. In the southeastern corner of the first floor, you can use Surf to reach a Pokeball containing a Dawn Stone. If you do not already have the HM Surf, you must speak to Cynthia and deliver an item to her grandmother in Celestic Town.
Once you find a Dawn Stone, you can use it to either evolve a female Snorunt into Froslass or a male Kirlia into Gallade. The Dawn Stone will be used in the process.
