Buizel is a Water-type Pokemon first introduced in Generation IV in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It evolves into Floatzel and does not require any evolution stones. While Floatzel is commonly found on Routes 218, 221, 222 and 224, you may have difficulty encountering Buizel. While you may rarely find Buizel on Route 224, it typically does not spawn in the same areas that Floatzel does. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to get Buizel in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Once you obtain Buizel, you can evolve it into Floatzel. It evolves into Floatzel starting at level 26. Floatzel does not evolve into any other Pokemon. You do not need additional items or tasks to evolve Buizel, and you do not need to trade the Pokemon with other players. Since Buizel has a level requirement before evolving, you will need to fight with it in wild Pokemon encounters to gain EXP.
Your Buizel can hold a Lucky Egg to level up faster. If you do not have a Lucky Egg, you can find wild Chansey’s, which have a chance of holding either a Lucky Egg or an Oval Stone. You may also search for a Lucky Egg at Acuity Lakefront in the Grand Underground.
