Alakazam’s Weaknesses in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Alakazam is a Psychic-type Pokémon, and though he might be giving Neo a run for his money with two spoons to bend, the Gen-1 Pokémon’s type means that it is weak to three different attack types. Those types are Ghost, Bug, and Dark. Luckily, no weakness does four times the damage to Alakazam. These weaknesses come out to do two times the regular damage against Alakazam.

While it is good to know Alakazam’s weaknesses to ensure he avoids those situations, it is just as important to also find Alakazam’s strengths. Alakazam is not immune to any type of attack by is resistant to two types. The Pokémon is strong against its own type of Psychic as well as Fighting-types attacks. These two attack types will do half the damage of what a move would usually do. This makes it very important that you know to use it against these types of Pokémon so that you know how to use Alakazam’s strengths and avoid his weaknesses.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
