Whichever angle you take, it is essential to know the weaknesses of Dustox to know what to do with it or against it in battle. This guide will break down all of Dustox’s Weaknesses in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
What are Dustox’s Weaknesses in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
Dustox is a Bug and Flying-type Pokémon, thus making it weak to a few different types, four in total. Those types are Rock, Fire, Flying, and Psychic. Luckily these attacks aren’t super effective against the Dustox and won’t do four times the regular damage to Dustox like some weaknesses for other Pokemon. All of Dustox’s weaknesses come out to do two times the regular damage against Dustox.

While it is good to know Dustox’s weaknesses to avoid those situations, it is also essential to find Dustox’s strengths. Dustox might not be immune to any type of attack; it does have several resistances, a total of five to be exact. The Pokémon is strong its own types of Bug and Poison and Fairy-type attacks. These three types of attacks will do half damage against the flying bug. The other two types, Fighting and Grass do even less damage at only a fourth of their usual strength. This makes it very important that you know to use it against these types of Pokémon so that you know how to use Dustox’s strengths and avoid his weaknesses.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
