The 2006 release of the original Diamond and Pearl marked the start of the fourth generation of Pokémon and introduced 107 brand new creatures to find and add to their Pokédex, with some fan favorites including Lucario. Among these additions was Rampardos, and with players making a return to the Sinnoh region with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, some are looking to add the dinosaur-like Pokémon to their team. For players who decide to add Rampardos’ to their party, it is important to know his weaknesses in order to build a good team to take into battle. This guide will break down all of Rampardos’ Weaknesses in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Rampardos’ Weaknesses in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Rampardos is a Rock type Pokémon, which means it is weak to a sizable list of attack types. This extensive list comes out to a total of five different attack types: Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, and Grass. Luckily, no weakness does four times the damage to Rampardos. These weaknesses come out to do two times the regular damage against Rampardos.
While it is good to know Rampardos’ weaknesses to ensure he avoids those situations, it is just as important to also find Rampardos’ strengths. Rampardos is not immune to any type of attack by is resistant to four types. The Pokémon is strong against Normal attacks as well as Poison, Fire, and Flying types attacks. These four attack types will do half the damage of what a move would usually do. This makes it very important that you know to use it against these types of Pokémon so that you know how to use Rampardos’ strengths and avoid his weaknesses.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
