One of the most recognizable Pokémon and having appeared in the series as far back as the first games, Snorlax is a fan favorite. Even if not a central part of your party, many players know the round, lovable ball that might find itself blocking a path or two. As player’s return to the Sinnoh region with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, some may find themselves wanting to add the big guy to their line up as they battle their way to prove that they are the best there ever was, and doing so means it is essential to know where Snorlax’s strengths and weakness are. This guide will explain Snorlax’s weakness and the attack types it is resistant against in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
What is Snorlax’s Weakness in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
Snorlax is a Normal-type Pokémon and is one of the lucky Pokémon that is only weak to a single attack type. This sleepy tank is only weak against Fighting-type attacks, and another piece of good news for those who want Snorlax in their team is that this attack doesn’t do four times the regular damage as some other weaknesses do. This attack-type comes out to do the regular damage against Snorlax two times.

Just as he is only weak to a single attack type, Snorlax is only strong against one type as well, though it is the strongest type of resistance possible in the game: Immune. The type that the sleeping giant is immune to is Ghost-type attacks. He doesn’t have any other strengths or resistance to different attack types, all attacks except for Ghost and Fighting will hit Snorlax for regular damage, given that you don’t happen to get hit with a critical strike. While not an extensive list like some others, it is still crucial that you know when and if to use Snorlax when it comes to battling.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
