With the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players are getting a chance to jump back into the region of Sinnoh and are once again trying to “catch ’em all.” Once you do get your hands on these Pokémon, that is only half the battle with the other half being… well, the battles themselves. When you get into a Pokémon battle, it is important to know the weaknesses of your Pokémon. One of these Pokémon that you will need to know these stats for is Steelix. I can clear up how these stats work and which ones you need to pay attention to. This guide will tell you what is Steelix’s Weakness in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Steelix’s Weaknesses in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Steelix is a Steel and Ground-type Pokémon, thus making it weak to four different types. Those types are Ground, Fighting, Fire, and Water, Luckily, there are no weakness that do four times the damage to Steelix. These weaknesses come out to do two times the regular damage against Steelix.

Knowing this means that we can also find Steelix’s strengths. Being a giant, steel snake has its perks, one being that Steelix is immune to Poison and Electric Attacks. The Pokémon is also strong against its own type of Steel as well as Normal, Flying, Bug, Psychic, Dragon, Fairy, and Rock types. The first seven types will do half damage against Steelix, with Rock doing even less damage at one-fourth of the regular output. This makes it very important that you know to use it against these types of Pokémon so that you know how to use Steelix’s strengths and avoid his weaknesses.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
