Thanks to one of its last evolutions, Gardevoir, Ralts is considered to be one of the most popular Pokemon in the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl community. Once it hits level 20, it will first evolve into Kirlia, and starting at level 30 it will turn exclusively into Gardevoir if it’s a female. While if it’s a male you can choose to turn it into Gallade using a Dawn Stone, especially if its stats favor Attack more than Special Attack. Both are pretty strong Psychic-type Pokemon to add to your party.
Unlike some Pokemon which are exclusive to either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and force you to trade to get them though, fortunately, you can find Ralts in both games. YouTuber Pokemon Archive has made a quick video guide on how to catch a Ralts in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Watch the video below.
Where to Find Ralts
To find Ralts in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you have to first unlock the Grand Underground feature. In the Grand Underground, you can find exclusive Pokemon roaming about in a variety of Pokemon Hideaway areas. Ralts only spawns in the Fountainspring Cave, Dazzling Cave, and Stargleam Cavern areas as a rare encounter at level 16 to 63, scaled depending on your progression in the game, as in how many Gym Badges you’ve got and/or have you beaten the Elite Four or not:
- One Badge: Level 16-20
- Two Badges: Level 25-29
- Three Badges: Level 29-33
- Four Badges: Level 33-37
- Five Badges: Level 36-40
- Six badges: Level 39-43
- Seven badges: Level 42-46
- Eight badges: Level 50-55
- Defeated Elite Four: Level 58-63
Putting on specific Statues in your Secret Base can also boost a specific Pokemon type to show up in the Pokemon Hideaway. Try Jigglypuff Statue to boost Fairy-types and Alakazam Statue for Psychic-types encounter.
