Pokémon GO Trainers who participated in Teddiursa Community Day were able to obtain the new Ursaluna, a powerful Ground- and Normal-type pocket monster that can be a decent fighter in PvE and PvP when equipped with a proper Moveset. To get Ursaluna, players had to evolve their Ursaring during the full moon that occurred during the Community Day event. The evolution cost 100 Candies, which is a substantial investment but doable thanks to the surplus of Teddiursa encounters during the event. Teddiursa Community Day also featured an exclusive Ground-type Charged Attack for Ursaluna, High Horsepower.
Best Moveset Build for Ursaluna in Pokémon GO
If Ursaluna Trainers are looking to get the most DPS out of their grizzly companion in Pokémon GO, the best Moveset for this beast would be Tackle, High Horsepower, and Thunder Punch. Tackle is the staple Fast Move that should be used for any Moveset Build for Ursaluna, while High Horsepower and Thunder Punch offer excellent damage output.

Pokémon GO: Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research Guide
According to Pokebattler, Tackle, Return, and Thunder Punch form an Ursaluna Moveset in Pokémon GO that provides slighter high DPS than using Thunder Punch as a Charged Move. However, this comes at the cost of not being able to use an Electric-type attack to counter specific enemies weak to electricity. On the other hand, players can replace Thunder Punch with Flying-type Ariel Ace, which will make Ursaluna much weaker but notably more defensive. This Moveset option is a good choice if players need to preserve their shield or are awaiting their Pokémon-swap cooldown to end during a PvP battle.
Ursaluna is weak to Fighting-, Water-, Grass-, and Ice-type Moves. Due to these weaknesses, Ursaluna is a poor choice for many Raid Bosses or potential PvP matchups. However, if Trainers manage to face any of the Pokémon in the index below, Ursaluna and his best Moveset make an excellent combat machine:
Pokémon that Ursaluna Counters | Elemental Type |
Alola Muk | Dark and Poison |
Skuntank | Dark and Poison |
Tentacruel | Water and Poison |
Dialga | Steel and Dragon |
Drapion | Dark and Poison |
Sylveon | Fairy |
Slurpuff | Fairy |
Clefable | Fairy |
Aromatisse | Fairy |
Kingdra | Water and Dragon |
Galarian Stunfisk | Ground and Steel |
Regirock | Rock |
Steelix | Ground and Steel |
Cofagrigus | Ghost |
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
