Pokemon Go is a game that makes you get up from your seat. Exploring the world is much funnier with friends, especially with those who are ready to catch Pokemons. The game’s lucky players had friends to go on hunting and set their campfire. But that luck didn’t appear to everyone. Developer Niantic knows about that. They announced there’s an upcoming social network app named Campfire to meet new players around your street.
That application idea was a good idea to find other Pokemon hunters. Finally, Niantic is starting to roll out the application, and you could be one of the first if you’re lucky.
Niantic Starts to Roll Out Campfire Social Network
Campfire focuses on keeping you updated about the events and allows you to socialize by attending meetings, according to The Verge‘s information. Players organize meetings, and they’re primarily talking about the game. You can send DMs to people around you and try the chance of gaining new game buddies. Niantic CEO John Hanke defines the application’s aim with these sentences:
“There are the Niantic gaming communities that have already been formed all around the world, with tens of thousands of enthusiastic explorers. These local groups already exist.”

Some gamers used social media platforms like Reddit and Discord to find gaming buddies. Social media platforms are crowded, and your potential new gaming friend might be on the other side of the world. Niantic’s Campfire application offers to find people around your home thanks to your phone’s location. That means you have many chances to find a buddy closer to your street.
If you’re outside to catch Pokemons, you can go up to Campfire and light a virtual flare on the map. Then other users will see your fire in the application, and they’ll be able to reach there.
Campfire hasn’t appeared on Play Store or App Store yet. Niantic says that a small percentage of Pokemon Go players will be able to download and try the application. After this closed beta process, the application can be downloaded by everyone. If you trust your luck, you can open your eyes to e-mails and notifications coming from Niantic.
