It was assumed that the new Ultra Beasts would come to Pokemon Go as part of the Test Your Mettle event. But it seems that Kartana and Celesteela, the Ultra Beasts appear before the event. While Celesteela appears in Southern Hemisphere, Kartana appears in Northern Hemisphere. So here is the guide on Kartana’s best counters and weaknesses to use in Pokemon GO raid.
Kartana’s Counters and Weaknesses in Pokemon Go
It is said that Kartana’s raid will be available from September 13 to September 27. Although if haven’t got the raid, don’t worry because due to the timezone difference, it will become available on September 14.
Kartana is a Grass and Steel-type Pokemon with a Max CP of 4156, an Attack of 323, a Defense of 182, and a Stamina of 139. Kartana is 160% weak against Fighting-type, while it’s 256% weak against Fire-type Pokemon.
On the other hand, this Pokemon is resistant to Grass-type up to 39.1% and 62.5% against Dragon, Electric, Fairy, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Steel, and Water-type Pokemon.
Since Kartana is 256% weak against Fire-type Pokemon, the priority is to use the mentioned type of Pokemon. This makes the Fire-type Reshiram the best counter to use against Kartana. This Pokemon has a Max CP of 4565, an Attack of 275, a Defense of 211, and a Stamina of 205. Using the Fire Fang and Overheat moveset is the best option.
