Pokemon GO – The Best Movesets and Counters for Meloetta
The best moveset to use with Meloetta in Pokemon GO for Aria and Pirouette forms are Quick Attack and Hyper Beam. These moves provide high DPS and Same-Type attack bonuses compared to other moves like Ice Punch, Dazzling Gleam or Thunderbolt. If you have Meloetta Aria, you can also swap out Quick Attack with Confusion if you’d like a DPS boost at the expense of some energy regeneration. Similarly, while Meloetta Pirouette’s alternative Quick move, Low Kick, gives a second move-type to use during combat, it deals less damage. It also generates less energy, making it an overall weaker move compared to Quick Attack.

Similarly, while Mewtwo’s Psychic-type moves are strong against Meloetta Pirouette, other Main moves at Mewtwo’s disposal are not nearly as effective.
