Pokémon GO: Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research Guide

Ultra Beast Protection Efforts is a Team GO Rocket-themed Special Research Event in Pokémon GO introduced in tandem with the Greedy Gluttons Event in November 2022 that featured the debut of Guzzlord. While this Special Research does not directly involve Guzzlord, it does require Trainers to interact and battle with the four main antagonists of Team GO Rocket, including Sierra, Arlo, Cliff, and Giovanni. Moreover, the main attraction of this event is that players can catch Shadow Mewtwo, a Legendary Pokémon serving as one of the most powerful and highly sought-after Psychic-type fighters to exist in the pocket monsters universe. 

Completing Ultra Beast Protection Efforts in Pokémon GO

To complete the Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research Event in Pokémon GO, Trainers must complete a 4-part questline involving defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts and Leaders, including Giovanni. Players will need to catch and purify Shadow Pokémon during this event as well.

Keep in mind that Pokémon GO Trainers cannot start the Special Research Tasks of Ultra Beast Protection Efforts until they have completed any pending quests from other Team GO Rocket questlines. Furthermore, Sportskeeda stated that players have until December 1, 2022, to access and claim the rewards from this Special Research.
