The hype train for Pokémon Legends: Arceus is speeding towards the January 28 launch date, and Nintendo has added another new trailer to the pile. The new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus is called “A world of adventure awaits in Hisui.” The trailer gives players a look at how collecting materials and crafting will be “pivotal to success.” Check out the trailer below.

The trailer also tasks players with creating the Hisui region’s very first Pokédex. This enormous task should ensure that players have plenty of exploring and Pokémon catching to do when the game is released. The new trailer also shows off some of the beautiful areas of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Although it was confirmed a while back that the game will not be open-world like many thought it would, the areas shown off so far look excellent. Instead of being open-world, Pokémon Legends: Arceus will send players out into different areas in a similar fashion to the Monster Hunter games. That means players will have a base where they can upgrade their characters, buy items, and, as the new trailer says, craft objects. Players will then go out into the different areas of Hisui on missions. The areas are said to be quite expansive, so although it’s not open-world, it may be the closest thing Pokémon fans get to a Breath of the Wild type game.
Earlier this month, players were shown an in-depth six-minute introductory video for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which gave players their best look yet at the upcoming game. The video was exclusively released in Japanese, but it still gave eager fans a look at many different facets of the game. For more info on that introductory video, check out the video and an overview here.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set for release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
