Before you trek out on your incredible journey, you have to do what all Pokémon games have you do: choose your starter. Some players find this an impossible choice. You may wonder then if you can get all starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Lucky for you, we’re here to answer that question.
Getting All Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Like previous games, Pokémon Legends: Arceus gives you three starter companions to choose from. It’s the only way to get your feet wet, so to speak, before you journey off into the world. There’s an upside and a downside to them. On the upside, you can get all the starter Pokémon. On the downside, you can’t unlock them right away.
You have to wait until you beat the game to get a chance to unlock the previous two starters you didn’t choose. And don’t skip the credits.
Once all that’s done, and you’re back in the game, head back to Jubilife Town and go to Galactic Team HQ. From there, talk to Professor Laventon again as he’ll be in his usual spot. He’ll offer to let you take the two starter Pokémon you didn’t choose off his hands. They’ll be at Level 5 when you get them.
You can also head over to the Space-Time Distortions to catch the two you didn’t take. This can happen after you beat the main story.
Which Pokémon Can You Start With?
There’s always some sort of debate on the starter companions. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you choose from the following starters:
- Cyndaquil (Fire-type)
- Oshawott (Water-type)
- Rowlet (Grass/Flying-type)
These three can evolve into some pretty potent Pokémon, so they are worth investing in.
