As one of the starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Rowlet may be among the first in your party you work to evolve. If so, you will be happy to note that you don’t need any special items. Instead, Rowlet will evolve as long as you raise their level.
How to Evolve Rowlet in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Before you journey out, you can choose the Grass/Flying-type Rowlet as your starter Pokémon from Professor Laventon. Since you can acquire them so early, you should be able to evolve them relatively fast in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Rowlet will start out at Level 5. From there, you just need to reach Level 17, and they will evolve into Dartrix.
An excellent way to level up in the game is by completing story and side missions. You can also have your Rowlet hold a Lucky Egg to gain more XP.
Also, thanks to XP share, all your Pokémon will gain points when you battle, even if they aren’t used. This is an easy way to get Rowlet some more points if you have to use other Pokémon.
Additionally, don’t forget about the arena. When it’s unlocked, you can battle various trainers for some quick XP, giving you more room to level Rowlet up fast.
Don’t forget about the sweets either. You can give Rowlet some candies to help them level up and evolve in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Additional Ways to Get Rowlet
If you don’t choose Rowlet the first time around, you’re not barred from getting them in the future. Unlike the previous games that required you to trade with other players, any starter Pokémon you didn’t choose will be available in two different ways.
In one way, you must complete the main storyline. Afterward, you can catch Rowlet in the Space-Time Distortions.
For the second way, you have to go to the Galaxy Team HQ post-game. There, talk to Captain Cyllene and Professor Laventon. The Professor will simply hand you the two starters that you didn’t select in the beginning. This is a good way to get Rowlet later on if you still want to evolve them in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
