If you want to complete your Pokédex, you’ll have to evolve the Pokémon that can evolve. In the case of Clefairy in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it means you have to get a Moon Stone. You only ever need one, though; since this is all the item is good for, there are a few ways to obtain it.
How to Get a Moon Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Like with the Razor Fang, the Moon Stone is good for evolving a certain Pokémon. This is only useful for evolving the Fairy-type Clefairy into Clefable.
Fortunately, you can do this pretty early in the game once you catch a Clefairy. There are a few methods you can take too.
For starters, you can get a Moon Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by riding on Ursaluna. Ride around in any area of the game, and then use Ursaluna to dig up a Moon Stone. You’ll know you’re in an area for digging if an orange signal shows up in front of Ursaluna. Just follow that direction and wait for them to start digging.
Now, this method isn’t fool-proof because you can get any type of evolution item. So, it might take a few attempts to find a Moon Stone.
Another route you can take is heading to space-time distortions. This might be even more randomized than digging for them, though, but you can find a Moon Stone in them. Just be aware that some heavy-hitting Pokémon are also inside, so approach these ready for a battle.
Alternatively, you can buy a Moon Stone in Jubilife Village. It costs 1000 Merit Points, so start grinding for those lost satchels to save up for one if you’re going this route.
Lastly, you can get a Moon Stone late in Pokémon Legends: Arceus if you complete the Clefairy’s Moonlit Dance request. It rewards a Moon Stone, but it does happen later in the game.
You can take any of these four approaches to find a Moon Stone and evolve Clefairy into Clefable. As a bonus, you don’t even need Clefairy to be a certain level as they’ll evolve any time you give them the Moon Stone.
