Wyrdeer is a Normal and Psychic-Type Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that serves as the player’s first Pokémon Mount. While riding on Wyrdeer, players can traverse the regions of Hisui much faster than while on foot. By completing a specific mission during the main story, Trainers will receive a Celestica Flute to summon Wyrdeer. Additionally, in battle, Wyrdeer can be used as a partner Pokémon in one’s party. However, the player’s rideable Wyrdeer and the one they use in combat are different and need to be obtained separately. Continue reading to learn how to unlock both types of Wyrdeer in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
How to Unlock Wyrdeer in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
To get the Wyrdeer Mount in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Trainers must progress to the seventh mission in the main questline, “The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods.” This quest becomes accessible once Commander Kamado tasks players with researching Kleavor. After battling at the Grandtree Arena, Trainers will receive Wyrdeer at the Heights Camp.

On the other hand, those looking to have Wyrdeer as a Pokémon for battle will need to catch its base form in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Stantler. Stantler is a Normal-Type Pokémon found within Wayward Wood of the Coronet Highlands, Windbreak Stand of the Cobalt Coastlands, and Deertrack Heights of the Obsidian Fieldlands. The most accessible area players will likely encounter Stantler is Deertrack Heights.
Once players have captured Stantler, they can evolve it into Wyrdeer once they’ve used the Agile Style of Psyshield Bash 20 times in combat. Trainers need to have their Pokémon master the Move to unlock Strong or Agile Style. This procedure can be done by grinding or feeding the Pokémon a Seed of Mastery. After Stantler acquires Agile Style for Psyshield Bash, use the Move 20 times to get Wyrdeer.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available on Nintendo Switch.
