The trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces two new clans: the Diamond Clan and a Pearl Clan, who each play a key role in the game’s narrative, though the exact role they play was not fully specified. However, it is explained via the official website that they are another group of people who live in the Hisui, similar to the Galaxy Team and that they both don clothing designed to resemble certain Pokémon, presumably Diagla and Palkia. They both pay also respect to special Pokémon they call lords and ladies, or Noble Pokémon, and it was revealed that the wardens Arezu and Lian, who were revealed in the previous trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, are from these clans.
The leaders of each respective clan were also revealed. Adaman, the leader of the Diamond Clan, is described as a daring young man who hates wasting time and often rushes forward in situations without thinking about particulars. This often puts him at odds with Irida, the leader of the Pearl Clan. His partner is a Leafeon.
Irida on the other hand is described as someone who feels one must have courage and patience to face the dangers of the vast Hisui region. She starts suspicious of the player but soon comes to trust you thanks to the help you provide in quelling the Noble Pokémon and uses a Glaceon as her partner.
The trailer also went into detail about another set of characters named Ginter and Volo, who are each member of the Ginkgo Guild, a traveling merchants’ guild that can be found throughout the Hisui Region and provide various wares and items you will need through your travels. It is run by Ginter, who will sell you rare items and special finds that he acquires from various places, but you’ll often encounter Volo more often as you travel, a man with a boundless sense of curiosity and who shows interest in unusual finds and people.
The final piece of information shared revealed that if players have play records from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl, they’ll be able to take on a research request in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that will allow them to add the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai to their team. This mission will be available in Jubilife City once the credits roll, similar to the Shaymin mission revealed previously. They’ll also be able to claim the Modern Team Galactic Set, which includes the Modern Jacket, Modern Trousers, and Modern Shoes, by speaking to the clothier after joining the Galaxy Expedition Team.
