There are numerous items and resources that you can scavenge as you are traversing the open world of the Hisui region in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. One of the more notable and enigmatic items are the red, green, and blue shards that can be found inside the game’s distortions in space-time. It is essential to know what they are used for with such strange items before you set out to collect them. This guide will explain what shards are used for in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
What Are Shards Used For in Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
All three of these shards are used to craft a Star Piece item. You will need three of each shard and a fourth item called Stardust, which can also be found in the time distortion areas of the map. Like other craftable items, however, you are going to need to learn the recipe of Star Pieces because before you do, Shards are used for nothing, making them basically worthless. You can find the recipe at the Craftworks by talking to an NPC named Anvin. The recipe price is pretty steep at ₽10,000, but once you have it, you will be able to put your shards to use.

This item is extremely valuable not because it has any effects but rather because it can be sold for a high price. When you craft the item, find it in the world, or get it as a reward for a request, you can trade it at the general store for ₽5,000 each. Deciding to track down the shards and use them to make this item is a great way to build up the money that your character has, which can be used for several things, including expanding your satchel.
