This probably feels like déjà vu regarding the update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and the connection support to Pokemon Home. Last week, we had an official announcement from The Pokemon Company on Twitter stating that the update would be available on May 24. However, the next day another tweet was posted from the franchise saying that they “mistakenly” announced that update would release on May 24, bringing support for these two programs. Now, there’s a third tweet updating us on Pokemon Home 3.0’s release date.
Pokemon Home 3.0 Release Date Revealed
Today, The Pokemon Company put out a new tweet giving fans an update on when the connection support would happen between the two applications. The tweet states that the update is to roll out on May 29, which is next week. This means players will be able to update their app on May 29 and transfer Pokemon to and from the game like all the other Pokemon games to date on the Nintendo Switch.
Note that this update could take until 5/30 at 11pm PT to complete. Thank you for your patience.

In a tweet below the main announcement, The Pokemon Company’s official Twitter account noted that the update might take until May 30 at 11 pm PT to be completed. They also made it clear that Pokemon Home will not be available during the times that it is being updated to 3.0.0, so use it before then if you need it.
Fans have long awaited this update that will allow them to transfer their Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet to the Pokemon Home application, which can be used on mobile or Nintendo Switch. This is something that fans had loved since the 3DS days of Pokemon when Pokemon Bank was first a thing, before later creating the new app. Pokemon Home not only stores player’s Pokemon but also acts as a place to trade them.
Thanks to this Pokemon Scarlet and Violet compatibility update, any Pokemon players will now be able to trade those collected Pokemon outside of the game itself. Players have been excitedly waiting for this update, and now it seems it is finally here.
