The last games of the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, arrived in the past week and were met with plenty of excitement from the gaming committee. The titles follow the same basic gameplay structure of previous Pokemon games, where players obtain creatures known as Pokemon, primarily through catching and trading, using them to explore the world and battle other Pokemon trainers. They set to have open worlds, including urban areas and open wilderness without borders between the two, unlike previous installments in the series. In addition, progression through the games will be up to the players, with three routes available: Path of Legends, Victory Road, and Starfall Street. It seems to have Pokemon Scarlet and Violet break Nintendo’s sale record in three days.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Sell Break Sales Record in 3 days
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched on November 18th, 2022, and received pretty good reviews in a short time. Besides, there were various performance and graphic issues in the titles, and this caused them to receive criticism. However, these problems do not seem to have affected the games’ sales figures. At this point, Nintendo announced that the games sold over 10 million units in the first three days and broke Nintendo’s sales record.
It’s quite a huge success that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sold over 10 million copies in the first three 3 days after their launch. Nintendo describes the games’ sales success as the “highest global sales level” of all time for the first three days on a Nintendo platform. At this point, the titles left behind games that left their mark on a period, such as Mario, Zelda, and Super Smash Bros. By the way, this data includes pre-orders, post-launch purchases, and digital and physical sales.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
