VGC Season 1 is the first official video game championship for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is a tournament where players from around the world will come together and battle against each other with their teams of Pokémon. VGC Season 1 will mostly be similar to the Ranked Battle Series of Pokemon Sword and Shield.
VGC Season 1 will start on December 02, 2022, at 04:00 UTC and end on January 31, 2023. However, even though the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have introduced many new powerful Pokemon to the game, some of them will not be allowed to compete in VGC, including Paradox and Legendary Pokemons.
You have to use only Pokemon found in Paldea Pokedex and have twenty minutes for the total Battle. Also, any pokemon in Level 50 will have reduced their Levels for these matches.
However, you can use the Terastal Phenomenon mechanic any time you want.
