In what is a nice surprise, Nintendo has announced a new update for the latest Pokémon titles. We all know that the new games have a lot of issues. The technical part of them is just something we haven’t seen in ages. Especially for a Pokémon game. Yet, it would seem that Nintendo is listening to its audience and is trying to improve. For that, a new update is scheduled for today. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Update 1.1 is set to arrive today and the developers have already released the official patch notes. We have them right here for you to read them.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Update 1.1 Patch Notes
- Season 1 of Ranked Battles will begin. This will allow you to enjoy Ranked Battles through the Battle Stadium
- Check the in-game notice for more details about Ranked Battles Season 1.
- An issue has been fixed that caused the music to not play correctly during the battles with the Elite Four and the Top Champion in the Victory Road path.
- Other select bug fixes have been made.
As you can see, the notes are quite small and this is something that is already dividing the fans of the series. Especially with the “select bug fixes” part. With how many there are right now, a detailed list would’ve been nice.

People are used to having a long list of patch notes for different updates. We’ve seen games like Cyberpunk 2077 detailing every single fix they’ve done. Yet, other games like Overwatch 2 try to just sweep some bugs under the rug and fix something else. Now, we don’t know on what side this Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Update 1.1 is but some players aren’t too happy. However, some people still see this as a win. This update is something no one was expecting so soon. Most players were hoping for the fixes to come in the potential DLC, so, a small update isn’t bad for the game. You can check more about the update that is set to release today on the official Nintendo Support website.
