It’s a shame there aren’t too many bridge-building games out there. They might not be the most complex games, but they make for a lot of laughs. The few that are out there though are generally pretty good. Bridge Constructor, Poly Bridge, and a few others are quite sturdy. Either way, recently fans have been waiting for an update on the upcoming Poly Bridge 2, and today they get that update. Poly Bridge 2 releases on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 28th. It promises to refine the genre beyond what we’ve seen yet. With the announcement, the team revealed more gameplay in the form of a release date trailer.
Poly Bridge 2 has you building, well, bridges. Each bridge has to be sturdy enough to get different vehicles across and must avoid environmental hazards. You’ll use various suspension, beams, and mechanisms to get vehicles from one end to another. Along the way, you’ll likely fail a few times and watch your bridge collapse in a sort of blissful beauty that only bridge collapse can bring. Poly Bridge 2 promises to be one of the best bridge-builders out there, with refined mechanics, better levels, and a new physics engine over its predecessor.
The game isn’t planned for anywhere other than PC, but it’d be no surprise to see it on other platforms. This is the type of game that would be perfect on a console like the Nintendo Switch for example. We’ll have to see what they decide in the future though. For now, you can wishlist the game and read more details about it on either Steam or the Epic Games Store, so be sure to head there and let us know what you think of it.
