It’s official – Ash Romero will return for season 2 of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School. And not only is the Millwood High student returning but he’s also been upped to a series regular for season 2 of the show, which was originally titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Jordan Gonzalez plays this fan-favorite character who first appeared with the show’s premiere.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School first premiered on HBO Max in July 2022. The series, the fourth in the iconic Pretty Little Liars franchise, centers around a group of teenage girls in Millwood, PA, who begin receiving cryptic messages from a mysterious figure known only as “A.” With only the notes and their wits, the girls – Imogen, Tabby, Faran, Minnie, Noa, Kelly, and Karen – are forced to face not only their own secrets but also their parents, as they discover their mothers may have played a role in the tragic death of a classmate back in 1999. Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, and Mallory Bechtel star alongside Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Eric Johnson, Alex Alonso, and Lea Salonga.
Jordan Gonzalez to Return as Ash Romero
Jordan Gonzalez joined Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin as Ash Romero, a transgender student at Millwood High and the main love interest of Minnie “Mouse” Honrada. Ash reportedly became a fan-favorite shortly after his first appearance in “Chapter One: Spirit Week.” Deadline reports that Ash is the first transmasculine character to appear in the series, an impressive feat that has fans of the series eagerly wanting more of the character – which is good because Ash Romero has been officially upped to a series regular for season 2, which will be titled Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.
In addition to starring in Pretty Little Liars, Jordan Gonzalez is also well-known for his role as Hugo in The L Word: Generation Q (2019). This Showtime drama series serves as a sequel to the original The L Word series.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School was created and executive produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for Muckle Man Productions, which produces the show along with Alloy Entertainment and Lindsay Calhoun Bring. I. Marlene King, Michael Grassi also executive produce alongside and Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.
