DC Comics has revealed all of the Pride-themed variants for its June releases. The debut of the covers for Blood Syndicate: Season One #2 and Robin #15 completes the Pride collection. These variants are part of the DC Comics 2022 Pride celebration this June. The celebration will bring LGBTQ characters, stories, and creators across the DC universe into the spotlight.
What Will These Pride-Themed Variants Feature?
For DC’s 2022 Pride-themed variant covers, some of the comic book’s greatest artists have contributed their take on DC titles. This week, Mateus Manhanini revealed their pride-themed variant for Blood Syndicate: Season One #2, while Lynne Yoshi showed off their Robin #15 variant. Amy Reeder will tackle Batman #124 while David Talaski is giving some pride to Superman: Son of Kal-El #12. Other announced contributors include Derek Charm (Action Comics #1044), Joe Phillips (Aquamen #5), and Kevin Wada (Nubia: Queen of the Amazons #1). Kris Anka is offering their talents to the variant cover of Poison Ivy #1. Meanwhile, Nick Robles is handling Nightwing #93, and Nicole Goux tackles Wonder Woman #788. Finally, Olivier Coipel takes on Harley Quinn #16, and Stephen Byrne handles Multiversity: Teen Justice #1.
These variant covers will put some of DC’s leading LGBTQ characters in the spotlight. They include Jon Kent, Nubia, Jackson Hyde, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Tim Drake, and many more.
What Else is In-Store from DC’s Pride Celebration?
DC is once again celebrating Pride month with its Pride Anthology. The comic will include over 100 pages of stories and spotlights from DC’s queer characters. DC’s Pride anthology will bring together some awesome team-ups both in and out of the book. Elsewhere, Meghan Fitzmartin, Belen Ortega, and Alberto Jimenez Alburquerque are teaming up for DC Pride: Tim Drake Special. This book will gather the breakout story from Batman: Urban Legends for the first time. In addition, the 64-page comic features a new Tim Drake story.
