How Priscilla Presley Honored Late Lisa Marie?
The late songstress’ 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley, had written a sweet tribute for their mother. 77-year-old Priscilla read the eulogy at the memorial service, which took place at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.
In the eulogy, the twins found it hard to put how amazing their mother was in words because of how extraordinary she was. The American actress read about how Lisa Marie “was an icon, a role model, a superhero…” Although there are many people in the world, Lisa Marie was her twins’ icon and role model. The Dallas alum continued by reading a poem, The Old Soul, dedicated to Lisa Marie.
“In 1968, she entered our world, born tired, fragile yet strong. She was delicate, but was filled with life,” read Priscilla. In the course of the poem, the businesswoman mentioned the death of Lisa Marie’s son, which brought her heartbreak.
As Us Weekly reports, the Elvis and Me star continued her poem as she recited that “a broken heart was the doing of her death.” The Storm & Grace singer is “home where she always belonged.” The family is sad that they would not be able to touch her physically again “but the old soul is always with me. She doesn’t drift above.” Priscilla concluded the poem emotionally and remarked that the twins’ poem “says it all.”
