Want to exercise those mind muscles while stuck in quarantine? Here’s one for you! Professor Rubik’s Brain Fitness by Microids is now available in North America via Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/Mac. Inspired by one of the most successful toys of all-time, Professor Rubik’s Brain Fitness offers 22 challenging mini-games and 4 mind-bending puzzle game modes. Some games are iterations of the legendary Rubik’s Cube, others completely deviate from it.
Professor Rubik’s Brain Fitness – A Mind Workout
Although the Rubik’s Cube might be officially labeled as a toy, these games ain’t playing around. The puzzles will involve “memory, letters, agility, concentration, calculation, and spatialization.”
Sounds too overwhelming? Don’t worry. You won’t have to go through these games alone. Professor Rubik will be there to guide you through the game and, more importantly, make sure you’re having fun! Inspired by the inventor of the Rubik’s Cube, Erno Rubik, Professor Rubik will act as your personal coach as you make your way through these puzzles.
Good Ol’ Competition!
If you’re the competitive type, the game also offers a local multiplayer mode. This will allow you to challenge your friends and have bragging rights for the rest of the week. There are many different challenges that you and your friends can take on. These range from timed activities all the way to more complex puzzles that demand a little bit more thinking. Whatever pace you prefer, Professor Rubik’s Brain Fitness has got you covered!
Of course, if you like playing these games alone, you can always play in solo mode where you can complete daily tests and keep track of your progress. Just make sure you join the right side of justice when you become a telepathic superhero. Professor Rubik’s Brain Fitness “will enhance or maintain your grey matter’s snappiness”. So, if you feel cobwebs forming up there during these lockdowns, definitely give this game a try.
