Channing Tatum is replacing Chris Evans in the Apple Studios space film Project Artemis. Chris Evans could not complete the film because of scheduling troubles with his projects Pain Hustlers and Big Red One. The Project Artemis role is a loss for Chris Evans, but a gain for Channing Tatum. Evans has however finished up shooting for the action-adventure romcom Ghosted. Greg Berlanti is directing the Apple Studios space film. Jason Bateman stepped down as the director last month. Apple Studios has already spent more than $100 million on this project and are determined to have it made. Despite Bateman and Evans stepping down, they quickly replaced them with Berlanti and Tatum for Project Artemis. Rose Gilroy wrote the script. Johansson along with Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn under These Pictures are producing it. The film will take place during the space race of the 1960s.
Channing Tatum Has Kept Busy
The actor most recently starred in the films Dog and The Lost City. Channing Tatum will also star opposite Zoë Kravitz in the film Pussy Island. He is most known for playing in the G.I. Joe and the Step Up films. The plot for the Apple Studios space film is mostly under wraps. Since Channing Tatum has replaced Chris Evans for Project Artemis, he is likely a lead role in it. The actor has many roles as a leading man in different films, so that would be no surprise. He is also accustomed to big-budget projects like this Apple Studios space film. The Lost City made more than $105 million domestically. Tatum joins Greg Berlanti who already a big name in television with some directing roles already. Evans may have left the project, but not Channing Tatum is part of the highly anticipated film Project Artemis.
