Project Wingman, the combat flight action game from the team at Sector D2, is releasing on Steam later this Summer. The game will also feature VR support, allowing you to get more immersed in each dogfight than most games offer. At the PC Gaming Show, the team showcased a trailer showing off even more gameplay than what’s already been shown along with the aforementioned announcements. Project Wingman is shaping up to be an incredibly immersive combat action game, and we can’t wait to play it.
Project Wingman puts a massive focus on refined controls and gameplay. All of the controls are fine-tuned to not only feel authentic but also provide a rewarding experience at each press of a button. Every bullet will feel impactful, and each takedown promises to feel as rewarding as the last. Project Wingman, at its core, is a more welcoming and inviting experience than regular combat simulators. It’s much easier to pick up and play, with simplicity in mind. You’ll be able to experience all the fast-paced and frantic combat the game has to offer when it releases exclusively to PC and VR.
From the initial gameplay shown, it looks like the game holds up to its promises. All the dogfights seem fast-paced and engaging, and nothing seems too overwhelming. Those who enjoy complex simulators might not enjoy this, but the more casual audience should find something to love. Given how few of those kinds of games there are out there, Project Wingman targets a niche that should help it stand out from the crowd. We’ll have to see if it holds up to its word, but I’m excited to hop in and do battle.
Hopefully, you feel the same, but we’d like to hear your opinion regardless. Any other combat flight games out there you’re a big fan of? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
