Sony has announced the release date of an Uncharted remaster known as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PS5 which contains the remastered versions of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. The PS5 version of Legacy of Thieves will be released on January 28, 2022, with the PC version coming later that year.
It is confirmed that Legacy of Thieves won’t include the multiplayer mode from previous titles. The PS5 version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will be available physically and digitally for $49.99/€49.99.
Owners of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy can buy the PS5 upgrade for $10/€10. This is also true for the owners of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle.
Those who have PS4 disc copies will need to insert the original game into the PS5 each time they want to download or play the PS5 digital version. The offer is not available for players who owned Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End by PlayStation Plus subscription.
Annabelle Hua, Sony marketing exec said in a PlayStation Blog that PS5 load times of Uncharted remaster are “near-instant” and the games will benefit from DualSense’s haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the PS5’s incredible 3D audio.
Legacy of Thieves will have three graphic options that PS5 players can choose from:
- Fidelity Mode – For the owners of 4K screens who want super-sharp resolution. By choosing this option players can enjoy the game at 4K resolution at the cost of 30fps.
- Performance Mode – For the player which prefers FPS over resolution. With this graphic option, the game will run at 60fps with lower resolution.
- Performance+ Mode – With this option players can enjoy the smoothest experience possible. Performance+ Mode targets 120fps at a 1080p resolution.
The PC version of Legacy of Thieves, which is in development by Iron Galaxy, will arrive shortly after the PS5 version.
