After waiting for 16 years, players the world over finally have a chance to return to the psychedelic world of Psychonauts. With the newest entry in the cult classic series, Psychonauts 2, releasing recently, both fans and newcomers are jumping into the game like it was the minds of the characters that inhabit it. That raises the question, how long is the game exactly? Luckily, I am here to tell you. This article will tell you how long it takes to beat Psychonauts 2.
How Long Does it Take to Beat Psychonauts 2?
Psychonauts 2 has a decent range of how long it can take to beat. To get through the main story at a comfortable pace, it will take you about 12 hours to complete. There are a total of 13 levels in Psychonauts 2 that range in both length and size. Some of the later levels might last up to an hour or more while others can be blitzed through in a matter of minutes. Along with these levels are five hub areas. These hubs are where you will be able to complete some side quests and partake in conversations with NPCs. Depending on how many of these you do, your playtime might be a little higher than 12 hours, but doing only a few or none at all and staying on the main quest will likely land at that 12-hour mark. If you are going for that 100%, then you need to know that certain areas require you to beat the game before you can access them. This means beating the game and returning to levels that you have already completed to finish collecting figments and any other challenge that you might be tasked with along with going to the hubs and experiencing all the conversations and completing all side content. While this might take you only a few extra hours to complete if you are quick and have some skill, on average it will likely take you to around 20 hours and possibly even a little beyond for those completionist playthroughs to be finished. All in all, Psychonauts 2Â will be providing you with around 12-20 hours of witty and quirky content that any fan of the original will love to get their hands on.
