Dispatch Games has announced that the classic shooter Psyvariar Delta, which was first released in arcades back in 2000, will be available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 sometime this summer. The game is set to get both a physical retail release and a digital version. It will be available on both the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Network in North America and Europe.
Brian Schorr, Founder of Dispatch Games, said:
The ongoing partnership between Dispatch Games and City Connection have allowed us to remake another classic game from our collection. With updated HD graphics and new gameplay, Psyvariar Delta is another classic that can be enjoyed by a new generation.
There are several new additions to this version of Psyvariar Delta. These include two new game modes, the first of which is REPLAY MODE+, where players can go back and replay stages while getting to manually set their planes, levels, and experience. Then SCORE ATTACK MODE lets players play for the high score on a particular difficulty setting. Both modes will have an online leaderboard so you can see how you stack up against other players around the world.
There is also an all-new UI that shows Ex levels, boss health, and invincible time remaining after leveling up. This new design is promised to be easy for beginners to understand while remaining useful for experts as well. In the options menu, players can now show the hit area for their own plane and their enemies and that be adjusted based on the players level of play.
Lastly, this edition of the game is adding new planes. Alongside the 2 original planes, there will be new planes available as DLC which bring all-new original attacks. This DLC content will be available on all levels, allowing players to have a fresh gameplay experience.
