PUBG: Battlegrounds is one of the most-played online games worldwide. The game usually stands at the first three on Steam Charts and competes with CS:GO and DOTA 2. It was only available on Steam for PC gamers, and we can’t say there are problems with the store. But Krafton decides to expand the availability and make the game also available on Epic Games Store. PUBG: Battlegrounds was formerly named “PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS”; it had a long adventure starting with the early access and going to the free-to-play version. Here is the latest news about PUBG Battlegrounds’ Epic Games Store debut.
PUBG: Battlegrounds Hits Epic Games Store
Like all other platforms, the game is free on Epic Games Store. If you’ve only installed the Epic Games Store client on your PC, you can get PUBG from it now. Some gamers choose to use only one client to play games, and some don’t choose Steam. It’s open to discussing how beneficial this is, but it’s undoubtedly not harmful.
Players who downloaded the game from Epic will play on the same servers as Steam players. Here’s the full information that came from the studio:
“From Early Access to becoming free-to-play, PUBG: Battlegrounds has always encouraged all types of players with diverse gaming backgrounds to try their hand at securing the iconic Winner Winner Chicken Dinner across PC and console platforms,” publisher Krafton says.
“Now, Krafton is adding another way for even more players to connect and squad up together with the addition of PUBG: Battlegrounds to the Epic Games Store. Those who play via Epic Games Store will find services identical to what’s found on Steam. Additionally, players from both platforms can play together via crossplay.”
If Epic Games Store is your first choice to play, now you got another reason to prefer it. We hope to see equality for the downloaders from both places.
