It seems like more and more racist individuals are crawling out of the woodwork these days. Maybe it’s an effect of Trump’s administration being in power, emboldening people who harbor hatred and discrimination to express it openly without fear of consequences. Whatever the reason, two workers in Florida had the unfortunate experience of coming face to face with one of these unhinged bigots.
In a short video now going viral on social media, a man is seen stepping out of his car in the middle of the road. He then storms toward another vehicle that had also stopped due to traffic. Without warning, he starts banging on the window and screaming wildly about how “the Spanish will go extinct.”
Inside the vehicle, the two workers can only stare in stunned disbelief at the Florida man’s meltdown. According to the video subtitles, there didn’t seem to be any trigger for his outburst, no interaction, no confrontation. It looked like the racist man just saw someone with darker skin and completely lost it.
The man kept pounding on the window, his face twisted into something straight out of a cartoon villain parody, while he hurled obscenities at the two workers. His “arguments,” if they could even be called that, made little sense. He repeated over and over that “the Spanish will go extinct,” as if yelling it louder would somehow make it true.
At one point, the racist man slapped the side mirror, then grabbed at the windshield wiper like he was trying to rip it off. After one more dramatic slam on the front of the car, he abruptly shifted from rage to erratic theatrics, launching into a bizarre dance right in the middle of the road.
The worker recording the incident turned the camera toward the man’s license plate, trying to capture the number. The Florida man noticed immediately, but instead of covering it up, he struck a ridiculous pose, as if to say he didn’t care and wasn’t afraid of any consequences.
Fortunately, things didn’t escalate further. When the traffic light finally turned green, the workers drove off and continued their journey, leaving the deranged racist fading into the distance in their rearview mirror.
The incident was certainly strange and confusing, and it wasn’t just the Florida workers who were left flabbergasted. Many Redditors also expressed bewilderment at the racist man’s actions. One user wrote, “Florida sure has a lot of weirdos,” while others speculated that the man might have been high, which could explain his bizarre behavior. Some even joked, “Don’t tell him about Spain.”
