Elvis Duran Attacked By A Strange Woman
Radio host Elvis Duran detailed a frightening experience yesterday, April 4. During his Z100 show on Tuesday, he opened up about an aggression he suffered.Â
Apparently, Elvis Duran got attacked by a woman on a New York City street with a sharp object.
The 58-year-old radio DJ explained that a woman came out suddenly and brought her fist toward his face. Elvis said he could see a sharp object in her enclosed fist.Â
“She tries to cut my face! I put my arm up, and I stopped her from doing it, and she did it to the woman behind her too,” he claimed.
The OAP said everyone was shocked. Meanwhile, the attacker disappeared as soon as she was done.Â
“She almost cut me! It is crazy!” Elvis added while hoping that she didn’t hurt anyone else.Â
He said that after the incident, he kept following online media to see if a story about a “lady slashing people’s faces in New York City” would come out. “Scary!” he commented after retelling the story.Â
As for the possibility that the woman was mentally ill, Elvis said he “understands the component” of mental ailment. However, he noted that being mentally unwell is no excuse for hurting or cutting people.Â
Elvis Duran Still Loves New YorkÂ
Nevertheless, despite his frightening encounter, Elvis is unwilling to give up on the place he calls home.
“People always say, ‘I don’t want to come to New York. I hear it’s really dangerous.’ And we’re always the first to say, ‘No, no, no. It’s safe. It’s fine,'” he said.Â
However, Elvis noted that having millions of people in a place means such incidents are likely to happen.Â
The radio personality said he still loves New York and “loves walking but when stuff like that happens it reminds you how fragile life is.”
“I’m still kind of shaken up over it,” Elvis added. “It scared the crap out of me and it rattled me to the core.”
Elvis Duran’s attack is scary, but thankfully, the radio host escaped the onslaught. Hopefully, no one else suffered the same fate from the strange woman. Â
