While having solid mechanical skills is essential for surviving the Archaeans in Rainbow Six Extraction, players must also have a sharp tactical focus, approaching each objective or enemy spawn with clear intent. While it can be tempting to rush into an alien nest’s location and begin firing at anything that moves, such a strategy in Rainbow Six Extraction will likely result in a squad’s demise. Therefore, it is recommended that players enter each combative situation with an adaptive mind, always prepared to react appropriately in any given situation. However, this trained behavior takes practice and understanding Extraction‘s fundamentals.
Surviving the Archaeans in Rainbow Six Extraction
To survive the Archaeans in Rainbow Six Extraction, players must first enter each match with a team-oriented mindset. Soloing objectives may feel empowering, yet one’s team should always take priority. Operators come equipped with abilities that can be synergized for better effectiveness in combat. In other words, players shouldn’t take their team for granted.

Choosing an Operator suitable for multiple scenarios is also a helpful approach for missions and objectives. Operators such as Doc and Rook will always be valuable to any team combination, and situational Operators like Vigil, Pulse, Ela, or Finka are strong picks for various situations, including stealth, scouting, or crowd control. Mastering one or two Operators is crucial, yet it’s helpful to have basic knowledge of what each character can do and provide for the team.
Players also need to be wary of the environment in Rainbow Six Extraction. For example, removing the Sprawl covering the ground should be prioritized while defending an area. Take out the yellow spiked spores before rushing into a subzone, as they can attach to an Operator and explode, causing damage and blinding the player. If the spores are stuck on a teammate, use melee strikes on them before they burst. Additionally, players should recognize when they should avoid a specific optional objective. Missions like Decontamination or Serial Scan are oftentimes not worth the risk and time investment to complete, especially on higher difficulties. Thus, it’s better to extract without doing them.
Finally, whenever a player’s favorite Operator in Rainbow Six Extraction goes MIA, the best approach for getting them back is by returning to the zone on the lowest difficulty. Keep in mind that the goal is to retrieve the Operator as quickly and efficiently as possible. Completing Study challenges and objectives can be done at another time.Â
Rainbow Six Extraction is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
