Oryx and Iana, new operators of Rainbow Six Siege from Operation Void Edge, will be available in test servers of the game as of February 17.
Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege celebrates the very first season of its Year 5 support with two new operators: Oryx and Iana. The former is a male defender who secures his special ability within his body. He can smash barricades, break into unreinforced walls, jump up and grab open hatches, and dash. With his rechargeable stamina, there are no limits for him, though breaking into walls will cost damage to you by -10. Oryx can also attack the opponent characters with his smashing ability, which makes it the best hunter for operators who hold a shield in front of them. Oryx uses MP5 and SPAS-12, the shotgun, as his primary guns and USP40 and Bailiff 410 as secondary weapons.
On the other hand, Iana, a female German attacker with a special ability similar to that of Alibi, is the other operator of Rainbow Six Siege’s Void Edge. She can duplicate herself in a holographic character that looks, acts, and moves just like herself. If you choose Iana, you would be sitting in a safe place, controlling your holographic duplicate with your mobile to spot the enemy locations, find out what gadgets they are using against your team, and distract them from helping your squad. You should know that the duplicate cannot damage the enemies, and it will be disappeared if it’s hit by a single bullet. Similar to Oryx, Iana’s ability is rechargeable as well. She will be armed with G36C and ARX200 as primary weapons, and MK19mm as the secondary gun.
The good news is, both operators will be added to the test servers of Rainbow Six Siege as of tomorrow, February 17. However, it remains unknown that when exactly Operation Void Edge will be launching across all platforms.
