With Operation Void Edge arriving soon, Tachanka in Rainbow Six Siege will go under a heavy surgery to stop being a meme.
Lord Tachanka is one of the most favorite operators in Rainbow Six Siege when it comes to having fun and making memes. The heavily armed Russian soldier has an iconic machine gun as his special ability, but since it’s a mounted weapon, you don’t have a high chance of staying alive against your fast-moving opponents. Aside from the machine gun, Tachanka is one of the slowest operators in the game that doesn’t even hold a shield, making its pick rate to stay at the minimum amongst other characters.
In order to stop making fun of Tachanka and raise his pick rate, Ubisoft has recently revealed that they will rework the operator abilities and weapons to make him a worthy choice in Rainbow Six Siege. Those improvements are about to get live as part of Operation Void Edge and today we are having a detailed look at the new Tachanka, who wants to be a real threat to all attackers.
First of all, Tachanka now can carry his machine gun and shoot with it like his primary weapon, which makes his special ability more useful than before. The machine gun can break barricades and unreinforced walls. Other than that, he will get a grenade launcher as the replacement gadget. You check out his new abilities in the videos below from Rainbow Six Siege:
Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 1 season pass includes a reworked map and two new operators: Oryx and Iana. Both operators are available in test servers of the game as of today. Oryx is a defender mostly leaned on his body strength like breaking through the walls and smashing enemies, while Iana is a new attacker with the ability to duplicate herself and find out about enemy locations and gadgets by controlling the holographic duplicates.
