As we see here, seems Ray Liotta took one final selfie with a fan mere days before his death. In the photo, you will note that the acclaimed actor looks fine. His skin may be a bit pale, but outside of that, nothing seems off about his demeanor. He looks happy and was kind enough to stop and take a selfie with a fan. Who knew it would be the last Ray Liotta selfie ever?
The photo was taken on May 22nd, four days before Liotta passed away in his sleep while in the Dominican Republic. A woman named Alba saw him and approached, asking if she could get a photo. Liotta was heading into a pharmacy with some people but was happy to oblige. He leaned in smiling, and the photo was taken, neither aware of its significance at the time. This was truly “one final selfie” with the star.
He Was a Good Fella
The photo adds to the overall feeling that Liotta was in good health and didn’t seem to have any underlying health issues. He was with his wife at the time, and she noted no outward signs of discomfort from the icon. As mentioned, the actor was on location in the Dominican Republic at the time of his passing. His wife says he was very happy to be working and was excited about the film.
Best known for his gangster roles from the 90s on, Liotta was truly an icon and master of his craft. You can’t think about Scorsese films and not think of Ray Liotta. He will be missed by many and remembered by all. His legacy will be both his family and his prestigious body of work.
At only 67 years old, it is another shock in a year that has already been filled with them.
