Does Rebellion Developments sound familiar? If it does, you will know their work from the Sniper Elite series. As it is a sniper-centered series, there is great emphasis on stealth. In addition to their long-range rifle, players may also use traps and grenades against enemies. And with so many games having their own zombie modes, the logical step seemed to be ‘make a full game.’ But why not make it slightly more difficult by adding stealth?
Set by Rebellion Developments in an alternate 1945 in World War II, Adolf Hitler chooses to do something drastic from his bunker. After Hitler is informed that the SS has lost Berlin, the Nazi commander activates what he unsurprisingly calls “Plan Z.” The program was created to ‘recycle’ the dead soldiers of the Wehrmacht (Nazi armed forces) and use them to bolster the Nazi War Machine. Four people from very different backgrounds are forced to combat the threat together. Karl Fairburne is an agent with the Office of Strategic Services. Boris Mendev is an infantryman with the Red Army. Efram Schwaiger is a German occultist and Hermann Wolff is a Captain in the Wehrmacht.
With games modes like Call of Duty: Zombies, engaging the enemy directly is always the best approach. But just like Sniper Elite, this game also requires subtlety. You are fighting zombies, after all. See exactly where your bullet makes contact using the X-Ray cam. Each deadly shot will be slowed down, showing players just how damaging each sniper bullet is.
Nintendo Switch players will have access to three campaigns, a Horde mode, and both local and online co-op for up to 4 players. They also get exclusive motion control and pro controller support.
